BAFTA, (the British Academy of Film and Television Arts), is a world-famous independent arts charity and academy. The charity encompasses the creative industries of film and television.
A champion for creative talent with a 75-year history, BAFTA brings together the entertainment industries and drives inclusion, accessibility and sustainability in the arts.
BAFTA hold annual awards attended by leading talent from cinema, television and the gaming industry.

Atlas Contract Bars were approached by BAFTA 195 to create a large bar for their Richard Attenborough Rooms which can accommodate as many as 150 people. BAFTA wished to expand the scale of the bar and there were a few desired elements that would increase the capacity. We were asked to provide a larger working area to accommodate additional members of staff. In addition to this, the new bar would incorporate storage for glasses. We increased the working space and included an area for making cocktails. We enabled space for 8 bar stools at the front of the bar, maximising capacity and futureproofing.

The bar features an incredible light up bar top made from onyx which looks truly spectacular. A number of brushed brass elements were included that were very much in keeping with the venue’s existing theme. These included an antique brass gantry, footrails and drip trays. The front of the bar is upholstered with leather panels and lower section is vertically slatted simplista, ensuring longevity. Suspended above the bar is a grid of hanging wine glasses, enhancing the sense of refinement while maximising space. Behind the bar are refrigerated units, dishwashers, sinks and storage sections.
The upper back bar features a series of arched shelving units with brass brushed framing, adding an Art Deco-inspired aesthetic. These arches are lined with a diverse selection of premium spirits, wine bottles, and glassware, carefully arranged for both function and visual appeal. There is also an area for coffee grinders and barista machines.

Eight sophisticated looking green bar stools line the front of the bar, they are upholstered in luxurious green velvet which compliments the existing furniture and colour palette. The bar takes things to a new level in the evening as the illuminated bar top make everything look even more spectacular. The bar embodies timeless elegance, seamlessly blending contemporary functionality with classical sophistication. Situated at the heart of BAFTA’s dynamic hub of culture and creativity, it stands as a lasting feature designed to serve and inspire the entertainment industry for many years to come.
